The SAIC (Service for Commercial and Industrial Activity)

The SAIC is a common resource of Université Sorbonne Paris Nord that helps researchers commercialise university research and facilitates relations between research labs and businesses. The SAIC offers help in project management and contract signing.

  • As a member of the European Research Network USPC, the SAIC actively helps organise and conduct training courses for the European Research Network USPC and the ‘Horizon 2020’ projects. These tailored courses are reserved for researchers, teacher-researchers and support staff of USPC members.

    Université Sorbonne Paris Nord has contracted SATT (Société d’Accélération de Transfert Technologique) for the detection, protection and transfer of technology. We will refer you to SATT, which in turn will guide you through commercialisation.

  • Within the framework of existing or planned collaboration with the research labs of the University, the SAIC can help you with the following:

    • Research and innovation projects development
    • Finding technologies
    • Finding scientific expertise or ordering a service delivery
    • Renting an exhibit during scientific symposiums

    In all cases, the SAIC will be your main adviser for the drafting and the negotiation of contracts (collaborations, service delivery, partnerships, consortium agreements, renting of space, etc.)
